does neurontin help a meth comedown Out with the old and in with the new! For me, after Christmas is over and I start to put away newly received items, it is always a great time to weed out the older things that are not needed anymore. Declutter and organizing time! As I look to the new year ahead, it always makes me feel refreshed, kind of like starting out new – a new journey, a new beginning, and I love to feel like everything is clean and in its place.
So – where to begin!?! I am going to start in my bedroom with the clothing in my closet and drawers. We always get socks, and I just really can’t say enough how much I appreciate a brand new pair of them! Comfy!! So, it is nice to take out the ones that have holes in them and replace them with the new ones. All of us in my family are into t-shirts, and my husband always gets such great deals on them! And with these great finds (usually our favorite sports teams – Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, plus Los Angeles Lakers and Tennessee Volunteers) comes ones that are demoted to nighttime wear, lounging around the house and for working in the yard. Others that have been lovingly used, will be donated. It is a system that I have! 🙂 And, it is a good time to just get rid of any clothing that hasn’t been worn in a year. If you haven’t used it by now, chances are you will not in the future. Plus, a good rule of thumb is to only keep a certain amount of hangers for your clothing. Once those have been taken up, that is all you need to keep.
My work space is located in my bedroom, and boy, did I need to clean off my desk! Yikes! It is like needing to clean that junk drawer that collects every strange little thing that doesn’t have a home. I had just thrown mail on top of more mail on my desk since being too busy with the holiday shopping, baking, etc. Gotta dig in! 🙂 I started making piles of sorted mail and paperwork. Making a mental note that I am going to need to purchase some new containers for all of my business and personal items. I keep them separate for tax purposes. It felt great to get that done. Ahhh….
After the decluttering process, it was time to get to some dusting, vacuuming and more cleaning done. Dusting the ceiling fan, bedside tables and blinds was a must. I took time to wash my windows – which I have to say, doesn’t get done as much as it should. And, I gave the whole space a good vacuuming – getting in the corners and under the bed where the dust bunnies like to live. And, as I vacuumed my curtains, I found a nice bottom section of my two sweet cat’s hair. It is all gone now! 🙂
My son is super clean – I am so lucky! His room was actually really easy to clean and declutter – a little bit easier than mine, I must say! 🙂
Next up will be the bathrooms! Look for that upcoming article.
Good luck, and when you are finished, I hope you feel rejuvenated! 🙂 Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
