Our Top 5 Movies To See Winter/Spring 2016

Happy New Year everyone!! Looking forward to some movie watching during this first part of 2016! How about you?? When the weather is colder, it is nice to head to the theater!! During the winter/spring months, I have picked out 5 films that I feel are must-see for my family. Let me know if you are planning on watching them too!

Kung Fu Panda 3:

That loveable panda is back!!!! We spent time at the theater seeing both Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2, and now on January 29th, a third installment of this series will arrive in theaters.

Voice cast includes: Jack Black as Po, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, Jackie Chan plays Monkey, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Lucy Liu voices Viper, David Cross as Crane and more.

Synopsis: When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

Disney’s Zootopia will be in theaters in March, and it seems that this is going to be a great film!! I’ve been watching the promos and trailers and am excited to watch it.

But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant:

Hitting theaters on March 18, The Divergent Series: Allegiant is the 3rd movie in this trilogy. We’ve seen the first 2 and will be watching this one as well.

Cast includes: Shailene Woodley plays Tris, Theo James as Four, Miles Teller as Peter, Naomi Watts portrays Evelyn, Zoe Kravitz as Christina, Maggie Q as Tori, Ansel Elgort plays Caleb Prior, Jeff Daniels as David, Jonny Weston as Edgar and more.

Synopsis: After the earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known in order to find a peaceful solution for their embroiled city. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.




Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:

We love action/superhero movies!!! So, when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters on March 25, we are going to be there!

Cast includes: Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne, Ben Affleck plays Bruce Wayne/Batman, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Holly Hunter plays Senator Finch, Jeremy Irons plays Alfred and more.

Synopsis: Fearing the actions of Superman left unchecked, Batman takes on Superman, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero the world really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat Doomsday created by Lex Luthor. Its up to Superman and Batman to set aside their difference along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.




The Jungle Book:

Another classic animated title that Disney is bringing to us in live-action form. The Jungle Book will hit theaters on April 15th!

Voice cast includes: Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha, Scarlett Johansson plays Kaa, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Saffron Burrows as Narrator, Bill Murray voices Baloo, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Neel Sethi plays Mowgli and more.

Synopsis: Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.
