We Watched “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” At AMC Fork & Screen Theatre

A few days ago, my family and I decided to take in a movie at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World Resort. We love seeing movies at the AMC Theatre there, and for the first time, chose to try out the Fork & Screen Theatre. Oh, my GOODNESS, what a thrill that was. It was a splurge for us, but something that we had talked about doing a long while. We had seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens when it was released on December 18, 2015, and wanted to go back for a second time, so having the opportunity to have a bite to eat and enjoy this awesome movie again was a great idea!

Since the movie was almost a month old, and it was a weekday afternoon, we had the theater almost to ourselves. We didn’t realize that the movie time we picked was in 3D, but were excited to see it this way, as we hadn’t watched it in 3D the first time. A little bit about this film real quick. I picked up so much more from the film after seeing it a second time. My favorite characters in the movie are Rey and BB-8! I just love their friendship. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has so many great action scenes, and I particularly love the comedy! A good laugh makes me feel good. What is your favorite part of this movie?

Now, back to talking about the theater. I can’t say enough about the comfortable seating and great service that we had! There was so much more space between rows and the reclining leather chairs were really nice. We ordered two Southern-style chicken tenders baskets that came with a few dipping sauces, two garlic cheddar biscuits, red slaw and french fries. I wasn’t going to eat a biscuit, but ending up loving it so much, I ate both! Hehehehe! YUMMY!!! Would absolutely get that again. Oh, and we all shared an order of pretzel bites which were really good too. The pricing was reasonable. Our chicken tender meals cost $16 each and the pretzel appetizer was $8. I can say that I was super full after sharing one of the meals with my husband. Clayton III enjoyed a meal all by himself – growing boy! 🙂

As we ate and enjoyed the movie again, I felt so blessed to be able to have had the opportunity to spend time with my family in this way. Sometimes the best ideas are spur-of-the-moment ones. This experience is something that I will always remember. I love being able to spend time with my two guys, and seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens (one of our favorite films) in this environment was just as exciting to me as heading to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon. I felt giddy, and I know that we will be able to chat about how much fun we had for a very long time.

I would definitely recommend you trying this out, if you have the chance. I hope that we will be able to do this again in the future! 🙂
