Nice Stay At Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort October 2016

Special thanks to the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort for hosting my stay. All opinions are my own.

We set out on my birthday (October 17, 2016) to head to the beach for some fun! Yay!!! We were super about our destination – Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach, Florida. We had the opportunity a year ago to stay at Margaritaville Island Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and had an amazing time. So, we were looking forward to seeing how this Margaritaville resort would feel.

It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get there, I and enjoyed the slow pace of U.S. 27 as our main route. What a beautiful ride, and I had seen something I never had before…sugarcane fields. So neat. Lots of trucks making sugarcane deliveries too. It was very interesting. Also, we spotted bear crossing signs on this route, and that was a little surprising to see! Sometimes I forget there are bears in Florida. 🙂

Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful staff, and I was just amazed at the grand appearance of the lobby. A really nice sitting area with plenty of comfortable seating, gorgeous margarita glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a huge sandal that was right in front of us as we entered. Very cool, and a great spot to take photos. We caught a glimpse of JWB Prime Steak and Seafood, the Margaritaville Coffee Shop, gift shop and doors leading outside to the ocean. We were really looking forward to exploring, but first, it was time to get to our room and unload our luggage.

The room that we stayed in was a one-bedroom suite. We were in awe as we stepped inside. The beautiful beach decor was right up my alley! LOVED it! The walls were similar in color to what I have used in my own home. Water colors are so calming, and the tiled flooring and rugs reminded us of sand. The living room included a sofa, TV, desk and coffee station and looked very inviting. We could see beyond that to the bedroom that had a king sized bed with a plush, white comforter. The luxurious bathroom was attached, and I really liked the nice glass shower area, separate toilet area and the double sinks. The highlight of the sinks were the super cute faucet handles. They looked like whale fins. So adorable! Both the bedroom and living room offered glass doors out onto the private balcony with great lounge seating to take your cup of coffee and enjoy the view.

We had a chance to snap lots of pictures in the room, around the resort and by the ocean that evening as well as the next day. We toured the resort to check out all it had to offer. We had a chance to see a few different sized rooms. All of them had the same beach decor and theming, but there were so many different sizes. A lot of accomodations for just a couple, up to a large family/group that were very spacious – I felt like I was in an apartment in their big unit. All rooms have an amazing view of the intracoastal waterway, the Atlantic Ocean or both! We happened to have both, and found it so cool to see both at any given time. The resort has multiple pools on ground level for all guests to enjoy and a separate pool for adults only the 11th floor. Near that pool was a bar with a good amount of comfy seating, and it was very refreshing. The views were amazing of the ocean from this vantage point!

Great choices of food and beverages at this resort! I mentioned JWB Prime Steak and Seafood above, and there is also the LandShark Bar & Grill, License to Chill Bar, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and more. We had a chance to eat at Margaritaville for lunch. Yes!!! We enjoyed the decor, music and overall ambiance of this restaurant. The food was outstanding too! My husband and I shared buttermilk fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato fries and green beans! YUMMY! Clayton III had shrimp and enjoyed his meal too. After a nice day of wandering around and walking on the broadwalk (yep, I said broadwalk – not boardwalk). It is a 2.5 mile walkway near the beach that is connected to this resort. Great for walking and a lot of people were riding bikes too. Later for dinner we decided to grab more food from Margaritaville. We forgot how big their nachos were and ordered 2 to take back to our room while we watched the Pittsburgh Penguins game. Yikes! They were so good, but we could hardly finish them. A very good value!

The one thing that I noticed throughout our visit is the attention to detail. The detail in the sink faucets, pencils and paper with their logo on it in our room, etc. It was nicely done. We were pleased with the really friendly staff, amenities and overall cleanliness. Sometimes beach resorts have a hard time keeping out the sand, but this resort did a great job of keeping it fresh and clean. We also noticed that there was construction and activity near this resort – older buildings are being refurbished. You can see that the new addition of the beautiful Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has resulted in others striving to improve their area.

The resort just hit a year old now, and is so welcoming to those staying onsite and to guests just coming in to eat at one of their restaurants, visit the spa, enjoy the beauty of it, etc. They even thought of the safety factor for guests. Your key card has to be swiped to be able to take the elevators in the lobby to access your room. I REALLY liked that. It was a comforting feeling. We had a wonderful time and want to thank everyone there for the great stay! Definitely would love to return. A great place to be able to park your car, and enjoy your whole time without having to leave. Very welcoming and so family friendly!
