If you are looking for something to do with your family in Orlando, Florida, that is peaceful and relaxing, take some time to spend at SEA LIFE Orlando. Feeling stressed? Just stroll around looking at all of the beautiful fish, and you will feel regenerated! Plus, it is a great place to visit if it is a rainy day, or just too hot to be outside. 🙂
We actually stopped in at SEA LIFE Orlando for the first time last October on my husband’s birthday. With his birthday, then my birthday right after that, then there was Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas…it was quite a busy time. I have been wanting to share our experience with you guys, and I finally had a chance to sit down and write this post recently. Yay!!! 🙂
We loved wandering around from tank to tank reading about the interesting fish. SEA LIFE Orlando has something for everyone to enjoy. While at the beginning of our tour, I loved the cave-like feeling that their surroundings had. It is had a really cozy and comforting feel. On the day we visited, it was nice and quiet, as there wasn’t a large number of people there at the same time as we were. It really gave us time to stop at each exhibit, read and enjoy.
One of my favorite things to see were the seahorses. I have always had a fascination with them. Probably because I received a seahorse kit when I was younger and had fun watching those cute little things swimming around in their bowl. So pretty! I also loved watching the jellyfish. These are some of the neatest and most graceful creatures, for sure. There were so many other great exhibits, like the turtle section, stingrays and interactive pools. We REALLY enjoyed going through 360-degree underwater tunnel and watching the sharks and fish swimming all around us. A diver happened to wave at us too. It was so very cool!
We had purchased an annual pass for LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and SEA LIFE Orlando, The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and Madame Tussauds Orlando, are all included (one thing to note is that I loved that SEA LIFE Orlando, The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and Madame Tussauds Orlando are all in one spot with a convenient parking garage!) But, if you don’t want to make that purchase, their day pass is pretty reasonable for the amount of time you and your family will spend exploring the underwater world.
So, in conclusion, here are my top 5 reasons for spending time at SEA LIFE Orlando:
1. You get your money’s worth (click here to view the ticket prices).
2. So many cool exhibits, including a 360-degree underwater tunnel!
3. You can enjoy SEA LIFE Orlando, plus have access to a nice choice of restaurants inside the same building, or just steps outside.
4. It is a great place to visit when it is raining or too hot outside (which is so often in Orlando!).
5. It is relaxing, educational and fun for the whole family!

One of our favorite aquariums to visit is Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and I will have to say, although SEA LIFE Orlando is smaller, it was very comparable to the cleanliness and the amount of fish to view. We are absolutely looking forward to returning soon, and I would encourage you to put this on your list of “things to do” in Orlando. I think you will like it! 🙂
