My family and I have Annual Passes to LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and they include LEGOLAND Florida (of course!), SEA LIFE Orlando (read about our fun visit to SEA LIFE Orlando here), the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and Madame Tussauds Orlando. I have to admit that I didn’t have Madame Tussauds Orlando at the top of my list of places to see in Orlando, Florida. Our passes were close to expiring, and we thought why not stop by Madame Tussauds for a visit. It gets a lot of great reviews from visitors. So, the other day we took a drive and checked it out. We were truly impressed!
So many great figures to see
Madame Tussauds Orlando is a celebrity wax museum. Every vignette is fantastic. As you wind your way around the complex, every corner had a really neat display with a wax replica of a celebrity. The detail in the actual wax statues is AMAZING, as they really are lifelike. The celebrities that we had a chance to see were important historical people, movie stars, TV stars, music icons, famous sports figures and more. They included former President Obama, President Trump, Neil Armstrong, Walt Disney, Elvis Presley, Oprah, Shaquille O’Neal, Taylor Swift, Peyton Manning, Zendaya and so many more. One of our favorites was seeing the characters Fiona and Shrek from Shrek. I love all of the Shrek movies! Do you?
Strike a pose
I thought that the most fun part about seeing all of the great wax replicas of important celebrity figures was that you could get up next to them and snap pictures. Some of the figures had seats next to them, you could hop on a bike with E.T., and there were some neat stages too. And, to add to the fun for your pictures, some had props. When getting your photo with Elvis, you can throw on a Hawaiian Lei and sunglasses, and then strike a pose. My son Clayton III had a good time with this one! It was very interactive. Another example of entertainment at the museum, by Tiger Woods’ statue, you could have some fun with a little putting green that had sound effects when you putted it in the hole. Next to Shaq, a small hoop was available for guests to use. Really cool touches for sure! 🙂
The main thing that I love about the the location of this attraction is that it is in the same complex as the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and SEA LIFE Orlando. There is a parking garage that is so convenient to the complex. As we walked toward the building to enter, we passed several restaurants outside including the Shake Shack, Sugar Factory, Yard House, Outback Steakhouse and many more. And, inside the building where the entrance of the museum is located, there is a really nice cafeteria with many choices of food. So, plan on making an afternoon out of it. And, while you are there visiting Madame Tussauds, why not check out the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and SEA LIFE Orlando too!
Put Madame Tussauds Orlando on your to-do list
You need to put Madame Tussauds on your list of things to do in the Orlando area. I felt like it was so entertaining for everyone in my family. It took us about an hour and a half to wander around looking at everything and reading the details about each figure. There were lots of giggles and laughter from my family, as great memories were made. It is just simply so much FUN!
Get all of the details about Madame Tussauds at their website here. If you have an opportunity to visit, let me know what you thought of it. And, as always, THANK YOU for reading and sharing my posts. I so appreciate it! 🙂
