After a really nice weekend of staying at home, my family and I thought it would be great to get out of the house on Monday (July 24, 2017). And, now thinking about it, what a frugal weekend we had!! It’s nice to know that the vehicle didn’t get used – saved money on gas and wear and tear! Plus, I was able to get caught up on the laundry, get the house clean, catch up on some shows and just relax.
We hadn’t been to a theme park since my husband’s IVIG treatment and his recent hospitalization. SeaWorld Orlando came to mind for our destination, as we had heard that they had reopened the Dolphin Nursery. I really couldn’t wait to check it out. I love dolphins!! 🙂 Don’t you?
So, I was really pleased to see that the new area looked great with so many more places to view the bottlenose dolphin calves and their moms. Immediately I noticed when walking up, there is a big front wall that is clear for viewing. So neat! I liked that it is convenient for the little kids in your family to peek through at this location, plus on the sides, there are some ship’s portholes that many young children were having fun checking out and watching as the dolphins swam and played around.
One of the SeaWorld Orlando employees came out to feed the dolphins while were standing and watching, and they all flocked to that location. While this took place, some great messages and information about the dolphins was being played on a new video screen. It was a really great way to learn about the dolphins, as we all enjoyed seeing them practice jumping, playing and communicating with their moms. It was a very cool moment! Definitely something that I will remember for a long time.
Once again, we had a super great time. I love spending time with my husband and son, especially when we get a chance to visit a theme park. SeaWorld Orlando is a great place to visit with your family. Thanks for reading! Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. 🙂
